  1. I doubt it, but I wonder if we’ll see Alf reference any of Ailsa’s (or even Martha’s) mental health struggles while Leah is staying with him, after all, she may have pulled a knife on Justin, but Ailsa shot Alf!
  2. I agree, plus the kids were mostly at the end of/post High School which didn’t help. Having them keep Alf living there with them made it awkward too.
  3. Well given the UK finale as well, probably somewhere from September/October(?) onwards?
  4. No-one should drive out of Summer Bay on screen, amazing how these accidents only tend to happen on camera. Convenient that Remi decided to go on the bike to pick up Eden rather than in the band van which would’ve made more sense.
  5. Photo backdrops in the 90s was quite advanced really given Neighbours took until 2004/2005 to get them. The Palm Beach one wouldn’t have been so bad if it wasn’t so deserted and the school one would have worked if they’d gone for a path there instead of mismatched grass. I think Summer Bay House looks pretty dark these days with the colour scheme and because the light only comes through the doors and windows, however given the porch covers them all the light entering through them is probably excessive.
  6. I’m unsure why, but I quite like Dana. Maybe it’s her wanting to help repay the kindness shown to her, I don’t know, but I’ve warmed to her more than Harper.
  7. Xander performing CPR on Mac on her bed… No wonder he’s a former Paramedic.
  8. I feel like we see house sets less and less these days - the space at Redfern is clearly limited and the new sets are so big they can’t have smaller modules up like the old Stewart house or Fisher’s houses. Even with the Matheson sisters we’re still not seeing the Beach House. Summer Bay House is barely seen, even the exterior now. I can’t remember when we last saw John’s house. And what’s happened with the Caravan Park? The garage is still seen so I presume they’ve not lost the location.
  9. Posted in the first look chat yesterday, but thought I’d post where people tend to read most: Had to laugh at the writer of tonight’s episode sneaking ‘Home and Away’ into the script.
  10. And technically, wasn’t Natalie the first former Summer Bay High student to be referred to as “Mrs.”?

  12. There was also the period when John first started working at the club where they couldn’t decide what John’s role was and Alf seemed not to be President anymore, then they finally decided Alf was President and John was Manager. I thought John had the juice bar concession, hence the naming - why would the committee sign off on JP’s Juice Bar if it was the club’s own concession.
  13. I think it was more that as Shannon & Sally were 18 they could look after Christopher with him being Sally’s brother legally and Pippa’s child. DoCS may have felt differently about Sam, particularly with Sally/Shannon already having Christopher to look after.
  14. I wondered the same about the Magistrate, but felt like Harper’s charges were just dropped because people probably aren’t invested in her enough to care if she went to prison. I was expecting Irene to talk about how she’s opened her home to many people in need of help, but maybe adding that in with her criminal record might have been too much acknowledgement that the show existed outside of the present day.
  15. I remember Alf calling Justin out on his family going about things the wrong way when they arrived but it was prior to the reveal of the witness protection.
