Is Home and Away the same/similar show it was in the Early Years? (1988-2000)

Since 2005 the format has changed a lot. 1988-2004 was when it was truly Home And Away. Sarah Lewis changed all of that.

Apart from Alf and SBH and the beach, it is a totally different show. The fostering aspect and family issues aspect has been eradicated in favour for sex, drugs, murders, explosions and psychos. It has become very successful in Oz but lost its roots as a result.
