You vividly remember scene from 1994 or 1995 where you could see the studio roof and Alf's house walls had no ceiling. And a similar scene at Fisher's 2nd house. A kind of "breaking the 4th wall" moment. That phrase usually applies to characters looking at the camera but giving the game away can also be breaking the 4th wall.

Sorry to spree.

Your support assistant at school watched Home and Away in the eighties. You ask her why Steven ended up in foster care and she can't remember. When she does remember she rushes from a lesson to give you the (correct) answer!

When you hear certain pieces of music and they remind you of music used in Home and Away. The Pokémon games seem to have a lot of early Home and Away-esque music (Nuvema Town's theme in Pokémon Black and White, Home theme from Pokémon Sun and Moon, etc).

When you see someone, somewhere or something that reminds you of someone, somewhere or something from Home and Away.

You see the Stewarts, Fishers, Fletchers, Rosses, Lance and Martin, Bobby, Shangel, Damo, Tug etc like they are people you know and Summer Bay as somewhere you know, you feel a huge sense of familiarity with H&A. The show was very popular in the UK 1989-c1999 and getting 14 million an episode, the general public took to H&A like a duck to water. H&A and Neighbours are a huge chunk of my childhood.
