Episode 10

Later that afternoon, Gunilla comes downstairs carrying her suitcases.

Gunilla: I’m just waiting for the taxi to get here.

*Rose ignores her*

Gunilla: Mother, I don’t want us to part on bad terms. I’m sorry for the things I said. I totally deserved that slap.

*Rose turns around and faces Gunilla. She is not happy.*

Rose: Are you?

Gunilla: Yes, I am.

Rose: Well, it’s too late for that Gunilla Nylund. I never want to talk to you again. *turns her back to Gunilla*

Gunilla: *now crying* Mother please…

*They hear the taxi arrive*

Rose: Just get in the taxi and don’t you EVER come back!

*Gunilla sadly leaves the house*

Blanche: Rose.

*Rose turns around and sees Blanche, who came downstairs to see Gunilla leave.*

Blanche: Are you okay honey?

Rose: No, I’m really hurt. *starts to cry*

*Blanche hugs Rose*

Blanche: You just let it out.

*Blanche rocks Rose as she cries*

(Meanwhile, Dorothy finds Sophia at the Summer Bay Senior Citizens Centre.)

Dorothy: Oh Ma. I want a word with you.

Sophia: I didn’t do it, pussycat! I swear!

Dorothy: Ma?

Sophia: *realising* Sorry. Just had a mental block. What brings you here?

Dorothy: I just came to apologise for being so hard on you.

Sophia: I’m sorry too, pussycat. I love you.

Dorothy: Love you too, Ma.

*they hug as several seniors members applaud them*

The next day, Dorothy is in the general store when Alison approaches her.

Alison: I just want you to know that I’m not happy that you transferred me to a different English class.

Dorothy: Tough luck.

Alison: You’re such a bitch, Miss Zbornak!

Dorothy: *sarcastically* Oh Alison. With that ridiculous hairdo, you remind me of Ann Sanders.

*Alison is fuming!*

Alison: Well, you’re a withered old bag that will never find love because she is so ugly to look at!

*Dorothy looks hurt and leaves the store in a hurry as Blanche walks in.*

Blanche: *to Alison* I oughta kick your insolent little butt!

Alison: What’s to you, s**t?!?

Blanche: THAT DOES IT!!!! *grabs Alison’s by the ear*

Alison: Ouch! Let go of my ear!

Blanche: I’m taking you to your parents, missy!

*Blanche drags Alison out of the store by her ear*

Episode 11

Blanche drags Alison to her parents house.
Blanche: You’ve been asking for this for a long time, missy!
*Helen comes out of the house, having heard the commotion inside the house*
Helen: What do you think you’re doing to my daughter?!? *pries Blanche off Alison*
Blanche: I’ll tell you what I’m doing to your daughter. She’s nothing but an insolent little brat that should be sent to behavioural school!
Helen: HOW DARE YOU SPEAK ABOUT ALISON LIKE THAT?!? YOU’RE ONLY SAYING THAT BECAUSE YOU LIVE WITH THAT STUCK UP ZBORNAK MONSTER!!!
Blanche: IS THAT SO?!?
Helen: Yes!
*Alison races inside the house without saying a word*
Blanche: Well, let me tell you something. If this little s**t continues to give Dorothy Zbornak a hard time, I’ll see to it that she’s charged!
*Helen is lost for words*
Blanche: And I’ll also make sure that you and your husband’s dairy business is closed down for good!
*Blanche storms off, leaving a still speechless Helen standing there*
(At the house, Rose is comforting Dorothy.)
Rose: Are you upset about what Alison said to you?
Dorothy: *sarcastically* No, Rose. I’m upset because Christie Brinkley failed to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Of course, I’m upset about Alison.
Rose: I wouldn’t worry about her.
Dorothy: She’s got a big patootie anyway.
Rose: What’s a patootie?
Dorothy: *sarcastically* It’s a musical instrument, Rose. I’m referring to Alison’s behind.
Rose: Oh.
Dorothy: I’m glad that you’re making me better by the way, Rose.
Rose: Would you like to hear a St Olaf story?
Dorothy: Don’t jinx it.
*Rose just nods*
Dorothy: All right, fine. But keep it short.
*Rose goes on to explain her story*

At the senior citizens centre, Sophia is playing cards when Betty Fulwell pushes her out of her chair.
Sophia: Excuse me? I’m an 83 year-old woman, not some unwanted Barbie doll.
Betty: Sorry dear.
Sophia: If you’re sorry, why’d you push me off the seat?
Betty: *sarcastically* Oh, accidents happen Petrillo.
Sophia: If that’s the case, then try this accident.
*Sophia puts a Sicilian curse on Betty*
Betty: Am I meant to be frazzled by that?
Sophia: Oh, you’ll see. Have a nice day, Fulwell.
*Sophia leaves as Betty rolls her eyes*
(Back at the house, Dorothy and Rose are drinking coffee in the kitchen when Blanche walks in.)
Blanche: Hi girls.
Dorothy: Blanche, where have you been?
Blanche: Oh, Dorothy Zbornak. You’ll be pleased to know where I’ve been.
Dorothy: *sarcastically* Sleep City?
Blanche: No, I went over to Alison Patterson’s house and had a go at her mother. Expect a cheque in the mail. *laughs lightly*
Rose: But Blanche, what did was blackmail.
Blanche: Oh, Rose. I intimidated her. There’s a difference.
*Rose looks at Blanche weirdly*
Dorothy: So, Helen Patterson caved huh?
Blanche: She sure did.
Dorothy: This calls for a group hug.
*the three ladies group hug*

COMING SOON

Episode 12

The following morning, Sophia arrives at the senior citizens centre to find Betty in a worn-out state.
Sophia: Why hello, Betty. You look great today.
Betty: Oh be quiet, Petrillo!
Sophia: What on earth happened to you?
Betty: Last night, the shower head broke and it sprayed water all over the bathroom. Then, the mattress on my bed dipped. And this morning, the microwave blew up and I ran out of petrol on the way here.
Sophia: Oh, that’s so unfortunate.
Betty: That curse is ruining my life! Take it off!
Sophia: Are you sorry for pushing me off the chair?
Betty: I was within my rights to…
Sophia: See ya.
*As Sophia walks away, Betty sits back in the chair which now breaks*
Betty: Ouch!

At Summer Bay High, Dorothy is in the staffroom when she overhears Alison being a bitch to Carly.
Alison: You deserved to be raped, Carly Morris!
*Carly tries her hardest to ignore her*
Alison: It’s funny how you reported the rape a week after it happened. You probably cried rape just so the police can believe you.
*A humiliated Carly walks off as several of Alison’s friends laugh*
Lynn: You think you’re real tough, don’t you?!?
Alison: Oh, look that that! God girl is acting tough.
Lynn: How would you like it if someone raped you?!?
Alison: If it’s a fight you want…
*Dorothy comes out of the staffroom and takes control of the situation*
Dorothy: That’s enough. Move along please.
Alison: *to Lynn* You’ll keep, Davenport.
Dorothy: Hold it right there, Alison!
Alison: *rolling her eyes* Oh great. The old dragon is about to have her say.
Dorothy: Now, you listen to me. If I ever hear such disgusting remarks come out of your mouth again, I’ll see to it that you are suspended or even expelled.
Alison: You don’t know what you’re on about.
Dorothy: Making fun of a rape victim is very malicious! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT AT ONCE!!!
*Alison walks away angrily*
(That afternoon, Dorothy and Rose are at the house when Blanche storms in.)
Blanche: The nerve of some people!
Rose: Blanche, what’s wrong?
Blanche: I just witnessed Alison beating Carly up outside the store. I had to help the poor girl back to Tom and Pippa’s place.
Dorothy: That little jezebel.
Blanche: I take it you had problems with her too, Dorothy?
Dorothy: During lunch break, I overheard Alison tell Carly that she deserved to be raped.
*Rose gasps*
Rose: That’s disgusting!
Blanche: I strongly recommend that you talk to Mr Bertram about this.
Rose: What’s he going to do?
Dorothy: *sarcastically* Become a backup singer for Fleetwood Mac!
*Rose nods her head*
Dorothy: I really need some support here.
Blanche: I’ll go with you.
Rose: I’ll go with you too, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Oh, girls. Thank you.
*Sophia walks in*
Sophia: What’s going on here?
Dorothy: Ma, we’re going out. Care to join us?
Sophia: Please, I’m tired from today’s outing at the centre. You should’ve seen the look on Betty Fulwell’s face when I put that curse on her.
Rose: What curse?
Dorothy: *sarcastically* A religious curse, Rose!
Blanche: Well, we better head to the school.
*Dorothy, Rose and Blanche leave*

At Summer Bay High, Mr Bertram is in his office when the three ladies walk in.
Mr Bertram: Oh, Miss Zbornak. Just the person I wanted to see.
Dorothy: Mr Bertram, I want to talk to you about Alison.
Mr Bertram: Well, I’ve just had Helen Patterson ranting and raving that you threatened her daughter.
Dorothy: I never threatened her. She was making fun of Carly Morris over her recent tragic ordeal. I was not going to…
Mr Bertram: *interjecting* I’ve contacted the head of the education department, Lisa Johnston. She’s decided to hold an investigation into the matter. Until then, I’m sorry to say that you’ll be suspended throughout the investigation.
*Dorothy looks shocked*
Blanche: When is the investigation?
Mr Bertram: It could take a few days or even weeks.
*Rose hugs Dorothy*

COMING SOON
- Manipulative Alison is shunned by her peers
- Sophia comforts Dorothy
- Blanche and Rose decide to pay Helen a visit

Episode 13

The girls arrive back home from the school. Dorothy is clearly upset.
Sophia: What’s the matter, pussycat?
Dorothy: I’ve been suspended, Ma.
Sophia: Teachers can get suspended? That’s new!
Dorothy: Ma, now is not a good time to laugh.
Sophia: Why’d you get suspended?
Blanche: That little hussy Alison Patterson decided to get her mother involved in her latest drama! Mr Bertram contacted the Education Department and they decided to suspend Dorothy once they start the investigation.
Rose: It’s just not fair. Dorothy didn’t deserve this.
Dorothy: Oh, what can you do. *sighs*
Sophia: What exactly happened?
Dorothy: I was eating my lunch in the staffroom when I overheard Alison make fun of Carly Morris being raped. Then when Lynn Davenport defended her, Alison threatened to beat her up. So, I came out and restored order.
Sophia: Then?
Dorothy: I had a go at Alison for making fun of a rape victim and she just stormed off.
Sophia: Why that no-good bitch!
Blanche: You know, I think it’s about time I set the record straight with that mother of hers! You coming, Dorothy?
Dorothy: No, I’m not in the mood for confronting anyone.
Blanche: Rose?
Rose: I’ll come.
*Blanche and Dorothy leave the house as Sophia puts her arm around Dorothy*
(Blanche and Rose storm over to the Patterson’s house)
*Blanche knocks on the door*
Rose: What’s that smell?
Blanche: The cows.
*Helen opens the door*
Helen: Oh, not you again!
Blanche: Yes, it’s me again!
Helen: What do you want?
Blanche: We want to know why you went to Walter Bertram ranting and raving that Dorothy threatened that jezebel you call a daughter!
Helen: SHE DID!
*Rose’s anger slowly rises*
Rose: Now you listen to me very carefully, you coward!
*Helen looks shocked*
Rose: I will not have Dorothy Zbornak’s reputation tarnished by a lying little bitch like your daughter! She is a pathetic excuse for a human being, to be honest!
*Helen is LIVID!*
Helen: HOW…DARE…YOU!
Rose: NO! HOW DARE ALISON MAKE FUN OF A RAPE VICTIM! CARLY MORRIS IS TRAUMATISED! BUT DOES YOUR DAUGHTER CARE? NO, BECAUSE SHE’S AN ABSOLUTE A******!
Blanche: *shocked* Rose!
Rose: I think I’ve said just about enough! Let’s go, Blanche!
*Rose and Blanche leave*
Helen: ALISON!
*Helen slams the front door behind her*

The next day, Alison arrives at school to find people staring at her.
Matt: There she is!
Roo: Looks like the slag has finally decided to show up!
*Alison ignores them as she approaches her locker. She sees Sandra Barlow walk past*
Alison: Hi Sandra.
*Sandra ignores her*
Alison: Great!
*Alison walks over to her best friends Judith Staples and Alyce Davis*
Alison: Hey girls.
Alyce: You hear something, Judith?
Judith: Nah, I don’t hear anything. Let’s go meet up with Bobby.
*Alyce and Judith glare at Alison before walking away*
Alison: *sarcastically* Real nice!
*Once class starts, Alison tries to sit next to Judith and Alyce in their Maths class, but they reject her by moving seats*
Alison: Girls, what’s going on?
Alyce: You make me sick, Alison!
Alison: What did I do?
Judith: It’s no secret that me and Alyce are bitches, but we would NEVER make fun of a rape victim! That’s as low as picking on a disabled person.
*Alison fights back tears as Alyce and Judith sit in their new spot*
Teacher: Patterson, you may leave the room.
*Alison walks out of the classroom to find Pippa with Mr Bertram*
Alison: Um…
*Pippa walks over to Alison and slaps her across the face!*
Pippa: Mr Bertram.
*Pippa walks away as Alison holds her cheek in pain*

COMING SOON
- Lisa Johnston from the Education Department pays Dorothy and the girls a visit
- Will Alison crack under the pressure?
