84-92

So the second update is those with two points, meaning they were either one person’s fourth favourite character or two people’s fifth favourite.

84. Damian Roberts (2 points) ◄RETURN

Played by Matt Doran
One of the 1990s characters currently benefitting from exposure on 7Two: It must be a decade or more since Irene mentioned her youngest son, but fans have obviously rediscovered the sensitive nice guy whose love life was so disastrous he became a priest.

84= Dani Sutherland (2 points) ▼37

Played by Tammin Sursok
The oldest Sutherland girl and the one who was labelled a princess at the time. If you’re trying to imagine a happy ending for Dani, it’s kind of hard, given that of her three main love interests one’s dead and the other two sailed off into the sunset with someone else. Left under a cloud after dumping Scott…but really, who wouldn’t?

84= Harley Braxton (2 points) ►NEW

Played by Various Babies
A surprise appearance for the littlest Braxton. Sure, he’s cute and all that but his part didn’t really extend beyond looking cute, being wary of Bianca, being born in a dramatic fashion and getting a typically early visit to the local hospital when his sister ran off into the bush with him.

84= Jack Wilson (2 points) ◄RETURN

Played by Daniel Amalm
The brooding guy with a chip on his shoulder from the mid-90s, Jack managed to hold onto his attitude for longer than most characters of his type. Probably best remembered for his doomed attempt to save Michael from drowning, and the fact that he randomly came back for Sally’s first wedding despite knowing very few of the other returnees.

84= Jade Sutherland (2 points) ◄RETURN

Played by Kate Garven
The second Sutherland girl in this update, at least until she pioneered the baby swap storyline that every other soap seemed to rush to copy in the mid-2000s (Coronation Street seem to be trying to pretend theirs never happened though). Went from being a shy asthmatic to joyriding off a cliff after a minor meltdown (she got a few cuts and bruises) and infamously wasn’t mentioned once when twin Kirsty returned to the show.

84= Oscar MacGuire (2 points) ►NEW

Played by Jake Speer
Oscar seems to have faired better than many of the new intake, partly because, aside from that odd period when he punched Zac and Matt for no reason, he does come across as a genuinely nice guy. Well, he’s nice to Maddy, so that puts him in my plus column.

84= Phoebe Nicholson (2 points) ►NEW

Played by Isabella Giovinazza
After a really weird introduction when we were expected to believe that this girl Kyle’s never mentioned before is his lost love, Phoebe finally seems to be coming into her own as someone completely befuddled by the Braxtons’ way of life and we can finally start to get past all that sexual harrassment stuff.

84= Tug O’Neale (2 points) ◄RETURN

Played by Tristan Bancks
Another character currently appearing on 7Two, Tug was the original one-shot bully turned regular, as Bobby took him under her wing and he ended up friends with the teens that he’d been beating up for their dinner money or framing for burglary a few months previous.

84= Zac MacGuire (2 points) ►NEW

Played by Charlie Clausen
And another recent addition to the show who, five minute alcoholism aside, takes after his nephew in being one of the few genuinely nice guys on the show. So, as is the way with these things, he tended to lose out in love to Braxtons and Barretts before becoming Leah’s latest boyfriend. Do you think we should call a funeral director?
