Scripts - Episode 3137

SUMMER BAY HIGH

KIRSTY, JADE and DANI are walking along together. SEB is leaning against a wall. He is playing a stringed musical instrument.

KIRSTY

Has somebody lost his little playmate?

SEB walks away. NICK is with a bunch of three other boys.

KIRSTY

Go on Jade, there’s your chance?

JADE

What?

KIRSTY

Nick, go and talk to him.

JADE

Oh, yeah, like you talked to Seb.

KIRSTY

That’s different.

JADE

How?

KIRSTY

Because I’m ignoring Seb on purpose and you’re desperate to talk to Nick.

JADE

I’m not desperate.

KIRSTY

Aw, get real.

DANI

Both of you guys get real. Come on Jade, this is the twenty-first century. You make it happen.

JADE

It’s not that easy.

KIRSTY

You haven’t even tried yet, Jade.

DANI

Exactly.

JADE

You guys suck.

JADE walks away.

DANI

Well.

KIRSTY

Well what?

DANI

It’s your turn with Seb, go.

KIRSTY

No way. Seb chose Simone over me. I’m not going to go crawling back to him.

NICK is talking to the three boys. JADE is walks behind.

NICK

And he just jumped off the bus and was going.

JADE

Nick.

NICK

What?

JADE

Hi Nick.

NICK

Hi Jade. I was just telling the boys about the trip. It was awesome.

BOY

Come on man, finish the story. Flathead jumped off the bus. Then what?

NICK

Yeah, anyway, em, so, yeah he jumped off and.

JADE walks off past NOAH. The three boys leave and NOAH walks over to NICK.

NOAH

Nick. What was that about?

NICK

What was what about?

NOAH

Jade. You totally ignored her.

NICK

No, I didn’t. I was telling the boys a story.

NOAH

I thought you wanted to patch things up with her.

NICK

Yeah, and so. After the hard time she gave me I’m not going to make it easy for her.

NICK walks away from NOAH. NICK walks along a corridor. He looks at JADE and KIRSTY who walk along a corridor.

JADE

Jerk. Dani’s such an expert, not. I’m never going to make the first move again, ever.

JADE and KIRSTY walk away. NOAH and HAYLEY are in the corridor.

HAYLEY

Hi.

NOAH

Where were you at lunchtime?

HAYLEY

Oh, em, the library. I wanted to get all my work done so I could take the afternoon off. Would you like to join me?

NOAH

No, Flathead said I’ve got to clean here after school.

HAYLEY

I thought Mr. Fisher said you couldn’t clean here because you’re a student.

NOAH

Oh, he’s not saying anything. I think he’s turning a blind eye because Jude’s off.

HAYLEY

Noah, you can’t keep doing all this work.

NOAH

I’ve got to pay the bill’s.

The bell rings.

HAYLEY

Hey, well, how about dinner then?

NOAH

I’d said I’d hang with Seb.

HAYLEY

Yeah, he can come to.

NOAH

All right.

HAYLEY

Right.

NOAH and HAYLEY kiss.

HAYLEY

See you tonight.

SIMONE walks into a class. SEB, JADE and KIRSTY are there.

SEB

Hey Simone.

SIMONE

Hi.

SEB

How are you?

SIMONE

Good, how are you?

SEB

OK. How did you go last night?

SIMONE

Oh, no.

SIMONE’S dad, MR HARRIS walks in. SIMONE stands up.

SEB

What?

SIMONE

It’s my dad.

MR HARRIS

Simone, what’s going on? I just got a call from some social worker.

SIMONE

What are you doing here dad?

MR HARRIS

Well according to this Sutherland woman you don’t want to come home so I can’t talk to you there, can I?

SIMONE

Please dad, this is so embarrassing.

MR HARRIS

How do you think I feel, huh? Getting a call like that out the blue. I didn’t even know we had any problems.

SIMONE

I don’t want to talk it about here.

DON walks in.

DON

Can I help you?

MR HARRIS

I just want to talk to my daughter.

DON

Well I’m sorry, but you can’t just walk in here unannounced like this. I have a class to teach.

SIMONE

Dad.

MR HARRIS

After school then. We have to talk about this. I don’t know what the hells going on with this drop-in centre caper.

DON

Mr. Harris.

MR HARRIS walks out the class.

KIRSTY

She’s such a drama queen.

JADE

Kirsty.

THE BEACHSIDE DINER

NOAH is sitting at a table. ALF walks over to him.

ALF

Oi. Don’t worry about the cleaning tonight, eh, mate. We’ll manage.

NOAH

Oh, I know. It’s all right. I can do it.

ALF

Well, just see how you go, eh.

ALF walks away. ALEX walks over to NOAH.

ALF

G’day.

ALEX

G’day Alf. You look wrecked.

NOAH

Don’t beat around the bush mate.

ALEX

A few too many late nights.

NOAH

Oh, yeah, parties central, studying, cleaning, a bit more cleaning. I’ve got to keep the business afloat while Jude’s still in hospital.

ALEX

Oh, sorry man. I wasn’t thinking.

NOAH

Ah, it’s OK. So tell me, what’s been happening with you? It’s got to be more exciting than what’s happening in my life at the moment.

ALEX

Ah, you know.

NOAH

What’s wrong? You still down about Miles and Brodie?

ALEX

Why would I be bothered about that?

NOAH

Ah, I just thought, you know, with Brodie being your ex, Miles being your best mate.

ALEX

No, look it’s totally bull.  It was a bit weird at first, OK, if they’re happy, I’m happy Noah.

SUMMER BAY HIGH

SIMONE and SEB walk down a flight of stairs.

SIMONE

That was so dull. Detentions are such as a waste of time.

SEB

I think that’s sort of the point.

SIMONE

Do you want to come down the drop-in centre with me?

SEB

Thanks, but I’m going to go find Noah. He could probably use some help.

SIMONE

OK, I’ll see you tomorrow.

SEB

Bye.

SEB walks away. JADE runs over to SIMONE.

JADE

Simone. Good, your still here.

SIMONE

Looks like it.

JADE

I guess you’re not in hurry with your dad waiting you at home and everything.

SIMONE

What’s it for you?

JADE

I’m just saying. It was a bit full-on him to school and everything.

SIMONE

He never talks to me any other time. He’s either working or hanging around with his dipsy girlfriend.

JADE

Right. Do you want to come to my place?

SIMONE

What for?

JADE

Just to hang out. I mean, if you want to.

SIMONE

All  right, suppose.

THE BEACH HOUSE

IRENE walks into the kitchen. HAYLEY is there.

IRENE

Beauty. Are you cooking dinner?

HAYLEY

Yeah, I invited Noah and Seb over for dinner. That’s OK, isn’t it?

IRENE

Yeah, great idea. Actually those two could do with a bit of spoiling.

WILL is sitting out on the patio.

WILL

Hey, is it cool if I bring Dani along?

HAYLEY

Yeah, sure.

IRENE walks out onto the patio.

IRENE

So, em, how’s it going with you two anyway?

WILL

Getting there, I think.

IRENE

Any news on Gypsy?

IRENE sits at the table with WILL.

WILL

Yeah, she’s at home now.

IRENE

And you haven’t tried talking to her again?

WILL

No, for once I took your advice and thought I’d let things lay for a bit.

IRENE

I’m glad to hear it.

WILL

Yeah, with Gypsy blocking me out like that I thought I’d try and get me and Dani back on track so that’s what I’m doing.

SUMMER BAY HOUSE

WILL and DANI are standing at the doorway.

WILL

So, Hayley’s cooking up a storm and Noah and Seb are going to rock along too.

DANI

Cool. So, what do you want me to bring?

WILL

Just your gorgeous self.

DANI

Apart from that.

WILL

I’ll take care of desserts. That would leave, just you.

DANI

I’ve got to do some homework so I think I better.

WILL

OK, I’ll see you later then.

DANI and WILL kiss. WILL walks away. DANI shuts the door and walks back inside. KIRSTY is there.

DANI

I’m not coming home for dinner. I’m going to Will’s tonight.

KIRSTY

Again. Why don’t you just move in there altogether.

BRODIE walks in holding two outfits.

BRODIE

OK, so which one do you think, this one or this one?

KIRSTY

Em, that one. More romantic.

BRODIE

I’m going bowling.

DANI

With Miles?

BRODIE

Yep.

DANI

You guys are getting pretty serious, aren’t you?

BRODIE

Oh, I think so. I really like spending time with him and we’ve always got heaps to talk about, so yeah.

DANI

It’s so good. You deserve it.

BRODIE

I don’t want to get to attached though because he’s going away soon for a whole year.

DANI

A year. I didn’t know it was that long.

BRODIE

Oh, yeah. I don’t think he meant to get sort of involved or anything, but it felt too good not to.

KIRSTY

Excuse me guys. Can you please go somewhere else with your our boyfriends are so great stories, because mine’s being a total jerk at the moment.

DANI

Come on Brodie. Lets go organise a stellar outfit.

BRODIE and DANI walk out into the hall. JADE and SIMONE walk in.

SIMONE

Wahl, this is cool. I love old places like this.

KIRSTY

What is she doing here?

JADE

I invited her. Got a problem with that?

KIRSTY

Eh, what do you reckon?

JADE

Tough, I never complain about how you bring home.

KIRSTY

I’m not complaining, I’m leaving.

KIRSTY walks out.

JADE

Don’t worry about my pig, she’s just my sister.

SIMONE

What?

JADE

Bad joke, sorry. Look, she doesn’t have a problem with you, it’s Seb.

SIMONE

Aw, I don’t have the hots for Seb if that’s what she’s worried about.

JADE

Yeah, I know.

SIMONE

Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.

JADE

No, just ignore her. She’s just being a drama queen. Any excuse to chuck  a hissy fit.

JADE and SIMONE walk upstairs.

THE BEACHSIDE DINER

MILES and VINNIE are there.

VINNIE

OK, see you head down Creek Road, past the coffee shop. Next set of traffic lights, turn left.

MILES

Right, left.

VINNIE

Left.

MILES

Left, yeah, right.

VINNIE

And it’s about two hundred metres down on your right.

ALEX walks in.

ALEX

Hey boys, what’s going on?

VINNIE

Just giving Miles some directions to the Yabbie Creek bowling alley.

ALEX

Vinnie, I have told you about this guy’s sense of directions, give up.

MILES

Hey, I’ve got to have some imperfections.

ALEX

So, who are you going bowling with?

MILES

Brodie.

ALEX

You know what, you’re never going to find the place. I’ll give you a lift.

VINNIE

Oh, there you go. Problem solved.

ALEX

All right.

VINNIE walks away.

MILES

No, you know what. Brodie’s probably been there before.

MILES and ALEX sit down at a table.

ALEX

No, she hasn’t been there before and I tell you what. I’ve got a great idea. I’m going to bring my friend Nina along and we’ll make if a foursome.

MILES

No, look, it’s OK, really.

ALEX

Hey Miles. I’m starting to get a complex here. I thought you came here to hang around with me.

MILES

Foursome sound good to me.

ALEX

Hey, wait to you see this  Nina chick. Oh, unbelievable.

MILES

Can’t wait.

ALEX

OK, look, I’m going to pick you up in half an hour from here, OK. I’m getting changed.

ALEX stands up. BRODIE walks in.

ALEX

Hey, are you ready for some hot competition tonight?

BRODIE

Ah, yes.

ALEX walks out. BRODIE sits down at the same table as MILES.

BRODIE

Hey, did I miss something?

MILES

Yeah, there’s been a slight change of plans. Alex and his friend are coming with us.

BRODIE

All right.

MILES

Loo, I know it’s not the ideal situation, but he wanted to hang out with me before I go and I couldn’t diss him by saying no.

BRODIE

Yeah, I understand.

MILES

No, look, I’ll tell him to forget it if you want.

BRODIE

No, it’s fine. So, how’s this friend he’s bringing? Not some red head, I hope.

MILES

It’s just this girl he met.

SARAH MCKAY DROP-IN CENTRE

SHELLEY and MR HARRIS are there.

MR HARRIS

How can you say you don’t know where she is? If you’re going to take responsibility for her, you could at least keeps tabs on her.

SHELLEY

Mr. Harris, I wasn’t aware that she had arranged to meet you here and besides we’re not here to impose rules on the kids. We’re here to offer them shelter and support when they need it.

SHELLEY and MR HARRIS walk into the office.

MR HARRIS

She doesn’t need shelter and support. She has everything she could want. I don’t treat her badly. I give her a good home and she gets paid for working in the shop.

SHELLEY

That’s the way you see it Mr. Harris, but I think you are going to have face the fact that Simone isn’t happy.

MR HARRIS

Well how do I know how to make her happy, if she won’t even talk to me about what’s wrong?

SHELLEY

Well, perhaps we could all sit down together and talk it through. Simone, you, your ex-wife.

MR HARRIS

Oh, I doubt you’d get my ex in the same room as me.

SHELLEY

Well perhaps if I spoke to her.

MR HARRIS

No forget it. She’s away on business and I’m not waiting till she gets back to sort this out.

SHELLEY

OK, just the three of us then, here on neutral territory. If I can persuade Simone, will you be in it?

MR HARRIS

You’ve got to find her first.

SHELLEY

True.

KIRSTY walks in.

KIRSTY

Oh, mum, sorry.

SHELLEY

Oh, that’s OK. Would you excuse me for a moment?

MR HARRIS

Yeah, sure.

SHELLEY and KIRSTY walk out the office.

KIRSTY

What’s Mr. Harris doing here?

SHELLEY

He’s looking for Simone.

KIRSTY

Simone. She’s over at our place sucking up to Jade.

SHELLEY

Oh.

KIRSTY

Yeah, I know. They’re like best buddies all of sudden. It makes you sick.

SHELLEY

Mr. Harris, as it happens. Simone’s at my place.

SUMMER BAY HOUSE

JADE and SIMONE walk down the stairs.

SIMONE

Well, are these boots hot or not?

JADE

I don’t think I could pull them off.

SIMONE

Sure you could. I’ve got some bits. You can borrow them if you like.

SIMONE and JADE walk into the living room.

JADE

Excellent, thanks.

SIMONE

I know someone who’d think you’d look majorly hot in them too.

JADE

Who?

SIMONE

Hello, Nick.

JADE

Oh, him.

SIMONE

He so wants you.

JADE

He totally ignored me all day.

SIMONE

I know for a fact he likes you.

JADE

How?

SIMONE

Because he kind of dumped me because I was slagging you off.

JADE

Oh.

SIMONE

I didn’t really mean it. I was just angry.

JADE

And Nick told you off.

SIMONE

Totally. He was like, defending your honour.

JADE

Maybe he changed his mind since then.

SIMONE

No way. I have the best idea.

JADE

What?

SIMONE

OK, it’s makeover time. I’ll give you a brand new for mufti day and Nick won’t be able to take his eyes off you.

SHELLEY walks in.

JADE

Oh, hi mum. You’re home early.

SHELLEY

Ah, I need to speak to Simone for a minute.

JADE

Oh, I’ll just grab the drinks.

JADE walks away.

SHELLEY

Thanks. I’ve just spoken to your dad.

SIMONE

He came to the school.

SHELLEY

I know. You are going to have to talk to him at some stage. Will you come and see him at the centre?

SIMONE

Will you be there?

SHELLEY

Of course.

THE BEACH HOUSE

HAYLEY, NOAH, WILL, DANI, SEB, NICK and IRENE sit at the table.

NOAH

Mmm, great stuff Hayls.

SEB

Yeah, that was excellent.

WILL

Hey, what about the gourmet dessert?

HAYLEY

Oh, yeah, good one. Great job at heating up Will.

WILL

Thank you very much. Seeing as I did so much work to make this I reckon I should be officially off dishes.

NICK

Dream on buddy.

IRENE

No, he’s got a point there shortie. Where exactly did you contribute to the meal?

NICK

I ate it.

IRENE

Go on.

SEB

I’ll give you a hand.

IRENE

Aw, I’m impressed mate, I’m impressed.

SEB and NICK walk into the kitchen.

NICK

You’re such a suck.

SEB

No man, it just I haven’t a good, decent meal in ages. I’m just ensuring my position for when I get to come back.

NICK

So, how’s everything going with Kirsty?

SEB

Not to well. She doesn’t like me seeing Simone.

NICK

Funny that.

SEB

What about you and Jade?

NICK

Not happening at the moment.

WILL is on the phone.

WILL

I’ll get her. Hayley, it’s for you.

HAYLEY

Oh, who is it?

WILL

Em, Robbie.

HAYLEY stands up and takes the phone from WILL.

HAYLEY

Hello.

THE BOWLING ALLEY

MILES, BRODIE and ALEX walk along.

MILES

Why didn’t we go and pick her up? There was heaps of room in the car.

ALEX

She didn’t mind meeting us here, anyway. Hey, there she is. Nina.

MILES

Where did you meet this girl?

ALEX

Oh, just around.

ALEX, MILES and BRODIE walk up to NINA.

ALEX

Hey babe.

NINA

Hello.

ALEX and NINA kiss.

ALEX

Guys this Nina, Brodie and my best friend Milo.

NINA

Hey.

BRODIE

Hey.

ALEX

Lets get some shoes, come on.

ALEX and NINA walk away.

MILES

Are you OK?

BRODIE

Yeah. This whole things just so weird.

MILES

Yeah. We’ll just pretend there not here. It’s just you and me and romance in the air. Yeah. Did I just say that?

BRODIE

Yeah, you did, but I like it.

SARAH MCKAY DROP-IN CENTRE

SHELLEY, SIMONE and MR HARRIS are there.

MR HARRIS

Simone, please love, you’ve got to tell me what’s wrong?

SHELLEY

Simone.

SIMONE

Dad never spends any time with me.

MR HARRIS

How can you say that? We spend hours together at the shop or at least the half the time you stay at our place.

SHELLEY

I think Simone is talking about quality time Mr. Harris.

MR HARRIS

Oh yeah. What’s your definition of that?

SIMONE

I just want to do fun stuff with you dad without her around.

MR HARRIS

Her. Christine. I had no idea. I thought you were getting older. You’ve always got your head in magazines or your always talking to your friends on the phone. I thought I was doing the right thing giving you space. I’m, sorry love.

SUMMER BAY HOUSE

JADE and KIRSTY are in the living room.

KIRSTY

Jade, have you totally lost it? Simone is such a loser.

JADE

I’m not going to fight about it with you.

KIRSTY

How’s fighting? I’m just saying it as it is.

JADE

She’s not after Seb, you know.

KIRSTY

I know, but she’s still a loser.

JADE

She’s going to let me so clothes for mufti day.

KIRSTY

Oh, a little loser and a suck. What do you know?

JADE

She reckons I should do something with my hair?

KIRSTY

Jade. There’s nothing wrong with you hair.

JADE

Maybe Dani will lend me some clothes as well.

KIRSTY

Aw, as if. You have totally lost it.

JADE walks out the room.

THE BOWLING ALLEY

A bowling ball roll down the lane. It knock down on pin. BRODIE turns around where NINA, MILES and ALEX are sitting.

MILES

And you say you’ve never done this before.

BRODIE

Oh, you’re very sweet Miles, but I wouldn’t go overboard. At least I did get that one down.

ALEX stands up and picks up a ball.

ALEX

All right, all right, look out for the king. Watch this babe.

NINA

Come on Alex.

ALEX goes up and gets a strike.

ALEX

Yes. Did you see that? Hey. Read them and weep, son. Look at that.

ALEX sits down.

MILES

What? Oh, a strike is that all.

ALEX

So am I hot or am I hot?

THE BEACH HOUSE

NICK and SEB are playing a computer game. NOAH and HAYLEY walk down the stairs.

NOAH

Thanks again.

HAYLEY

Any time.

NOAH

So, who’s Robbie?

HAYLEY

Oh, em, just one of the guys that worked at the hotel we were staying at in London. Just wanted to make sure that we got back OK and everything. I don’t know why he called, actually.

NOAH

Hey, Seb, I’m going. I’ll catch you later, OK.. See you Irene. Thanks for having us.

IRENE

No worries love.

SEB

I thought I was coming to help you at the diner.

NOAH

No, no way. Your going home to crash. There’s no point in both of us being wrecked. Come on/

NOAH walks out.

SEB

Thanks again man. Thanks for dinner Irene.

IRENE

My pleasure.

NICK

No worries.

SEB walks out.

HAYLEY

Do you think he knows that Robbie and I were together?

IRENE

I hate to tell you this love, but you are one lousy liar.

THE BOWLING ALLEY

ALEX and MILES are there.

ALEX

So once again we discover who’s the superior bowler.

MILES

Yeah, yeah, it was a good win mate. Must be a bit of a bonus for you, hey.

ALEX

What do you mean?

MILES

Well you didn’t come to win. You only came to make Brodie jealous.

ALEX

Dream on. Why would I want to do that?

MILES

Aw, no doubt there’s a motive in that petty little head of yuors.

ALEX

No, Miles, I was not trying to make her jealous.

MILES

Yes, you were. You don’t do subtle man and I think Nina’s well and truly over you as well.

NINA and BRODIE are sitting together.

NINA

Well, it was nice meeting you Brodie.

BRODIE

Yeah, you too. I’ll probably see you around sometime.

NINA

I doubt it.

BRODIE

Why not?

NINA

Let me guess. You Alex’s ex right?

BRODIE

Ah, yeah. Well I’m with Miles now.

NINA

I don’t think he’s too happy at that.

ALEX and MILES walk across too them.

ALEX

All right, are we ready to go?

BRODIE

Yeah.

ALEX

We should grab a coffee down at the diner. What do you say Nina?

NINA

Surely you don’t need me around cramping you style Alex? Look, I think I’ve had enough of this love triangle thing you guys have got going and I don’t appreciate being used Alex.

ALEX

Nina, baby, you’ve got this all wrong.

NINA

No, look, I hope you get this all sorted out.

ALEX

Nina.

NINA

Grow up Alex.

NINA walks away.

SUMMER BAY HOUSE

MILES and BRODIE are on the veranda.

MILES

I am so sorry about Alex. I would never have agreed to let him come if I knew he was going to act like that.

BRODIE

No, it’s OK. It’s Nina that I feel sorry for. You know, she seemed really nice, but I’m glad she’s not going to let Alex treat her like that.

MILES and BRODIE kiss.

MILES

If only it were a parallel universe and Alex wasn’t even an issue.

BRODIE

If only.

MILES

It’s just you and me remember.

BRODIE

Yeah, and soon it will be just me.

MILES

Hey, we’ve got heaps of time, heaps.

BRODIE

Aw, Miles, we’ve got a few days.

MILES

So, I’ll call you tomorrow.

MILES and BRODIE kiss. MILES walks away and BRODIE walks inside. KIRSTY is sitting with her head on the table laughing.

BRODIE

What’s up?

KIRSTY

Look at her hair.

JADE is standing with a towel on her head and purple dye all over her clothes.

JADE

Shut up.

BRODIE

Aw, Jade. What have you done?

JADE

It was meant to be funky, but.

KIRSTY

You look like an oompa loompa from Willy Wonka.

JADE

Shut up.

BRODIE

Aw, Jade, you’re supposed to wipe the dye off, not leave it there while it’s still working.

JADE

Will it come off in the shower.

BRODIE

Aw, come on, I’ll fix it for you.

BRODIE and JADE walk out. KIRSTY continues to laugh.

THE BEACH HOUSE

HAYLEY, NICK and IRENE sit in the living room.

HAYLEY

I’ve got to go and talk to him.

IRENE

Love, he’ll be working.

HAYLEY

I can’t leave it like this Irene. I have to tell him about Robbie.

IRENE

Well don’t be late.

HAYLEY walks out the house. DANI and WILL walk out of WILL’S bedroom.

WILL

I’m taking Dani back.

IRENE

OK, love.

DANI

Bye.

IRENE

See you Dan.

DANI

What’s with this Robbie guy? Everyone went really quiet when he rang? Did Hayley get with him in London or something?

WILL

Yeah.

DANI

But she hasn’t told Noah yet.

WILL

Yeah, well she just got back with him and she wasn’t with Noah when she got with Robbie.

DANI

You don’t think she should tell him.

WILL

No, that’s not what I said. I don’t know what she should do.

DANI

Of course she should to tell him.

WILL

Yeah.

DANI

You know what happens when people keep secrets Will.

WILL

Yeah, I know. I didn’t mean anything.

DANI

Em, actually, I think I’ll walk home.

WILL

Dani.

DANI

No, no, no. It’s OK. I just fell like the walk.

DANI and WILL kiss. DANI walks away and then WILL walks inside.

THE BEACHSIDE DINER

NOAH is there. He opens the door. HAYLEY is there.

NOAH

Aw, what are you doing here?

HAYLEY

Em, I came to help.

NOAH

Aw, here thanks.

HAYLEY

Em, I’m sorry about the phone call. I should have got Will to take a message.

NOAH

Ah, yeah, no worries.

HAYLEY

But the thing is.

ALF

Is anybody there Noah?

NOAH

Ah, yeah, Mr. Stewart. It’s just Hayley. Came to help me.

ALF walks through from the kitchen.

ALF

Ah, right, g’day love. Look, em, what I said before. There’s no need to go knocking yourself out mate. Why don’t you go home and get some sleep, eh?

ALF walks into the kitchen.

NOAH

Good timing, uh.

SUMMER BAY HOUSE

DANI walks in. BRODIE is washing something in the utility room.

BRODIE

Hey, how was your night?

DANI

Good. What are you doing?

BRODIE

Jade’s disastrous attempt at a funky hairstyle. Don’t ask, it’s a long story. Are you OK?

DANI

Yeah.

DANI takes the necklace the WILL gave her off.

BRODIE

You didn’t have a fight with Will.

DANI

No, em, we’re doing great.

DANI walks through to the hall and sit down on the stairs.

THE BEACH HOUSE

WILL sits on his bed.
