VINNIEOf course I’m ready for it. I’m not going to be doing it all myself I hope. RALPHWhat? You think I’m going to give you a heart attack or something? Course not. No, no, no, we’ll hire a couple of guys to help you out for a while, but you’re going to have to do all the deliveries yourself. VINNIEWhy? RALPHWell, I’d help, but my problem. VINNIEOh, yeah, yeah. Well this chairman doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty every now and then. RALPHYeah. VINNIEYou know, I wish I had a camera. RALPHYeah. Why’s that? VINNIEThis is a moment worth recording. GYPSYWell Shauna, she’s been in a really weird mood lately, like really emotional. GYPSY stands up.GYPSYI mean you saw it this morning. Was she acting strange to you? GYPSY leaves the room.FLYNNNo, I don’t know. GYPSYWell I thought that something happened with her and Jude, but he’s got no idea either. FLYNNSorry. Can’t help you. GYPSYMaybe it’s just that she’s getting married and freaking out a bit. She’s got a habit of doing that. My apologies. INSPECTORYes, well ordinarily, I’d expect the person in charge to be in attendance when I carry out a building safety inspection. FLYNNWell, I’m here now. So did we pass our physical? No big problems I hope. INSPECTORDepends on what you mean by big. I mean, the wiring in the roof is definitely a safety hazard and eh, you’ve got a white ant problem in the structural timber. Obviously no one’s been up on the roof since we had those storms last year. FLYNNOh. GYPSYSo, does that mean we’ve passed? INSPECTORI’ll be preparing a formal report, but I can tell you now that considerable work needs to be done. To start, these premises are not in acceptable condition. FLYNNAnd how long would we have to get them back up to scratch? INSPECTOROh, usual period of grace is four weeks. As I said it will all be in the report. GYPSYWell, what happens if we can’t do it in four weeks? INSPECTORThe council can order you to vacate the premises. GYPSYYou’d shut us down? INSPECTORHopefully it won’t come to that. Thanks for your time. I’ll show myself out. The INSPECTOR leaves.FLYNNWasn’t our last inspection less than a year ago? How come all of a sudden there’s so many problems? GYPSYThe council thinks that it was a bad idea letting us start up in the first place. What I want to know is how we’re going to get all this done in four weeks and how are we going to afford it?

I’m still sort of on my best behaviour. ALEXYou know I forget sometimes that they’re not your real family. You know you’re so close. BRODIEYeah, they’re great. I just sometimes wish I had a real family, you know, like you and Leah do. ALEXAnd you don’t think you could have that kind of relationship with your own mum? BRODIEAh, no way.
