Extended Summary

Jack and Harper take Amanda’s statement about the break in as Scott comforts her. The burglar grabbed her from behind, stealing all of her valuables! She gives a description – which includes something unique. Jack immediately links this to the burglary at the Beach House – it’s the same unique thing that Robbie mentioned. Scott’s about to take Amanda back to the Hunter house, when Dan comes in and says she can stay with him. Amanda protests, but concerned, Dan insists.

A guy comes too close to Tasha and Robbie has a go at him. Embarrassed, Tasha apologises for Rob’s rudeness. All through this, Martha’s stealing glances towards Jack in the Diner which Tasha clocks – again… Morag comes in, fuming – she’s been given a parking ticket! Martha’s outraged, she bets she knows by whom – she really hates that Jack Holden!

Amanda gets up to find Dan in the kitchen. Ryan arrives today and Dan’s looking forward to it. As they breakfast, they share a ‘knowing’ moment and both laugh at the fond memory. She gives Dan a kiss on cheek of thanks as she goes. Dan watches her, has she changed, after all?

Martha’s car is bogged! A car pulls up to help and she’s relieved – until she sees its Jack Holden! Jack steps out and Martha gives him the cold shoulder. Jack shrugs, jumps back in his car and is about to leave when Martha has to admit she needs his help. Jack can’t resist teasing her – face it, Mac. All this agro is because you think I’m hot, isn’t it? Martha can’t believe his nerve! Jack keeps stirring and Martha gets riled up, falling backward in to the mud. Splat!

Ryan’s disappointed as Amanda looks through the paper to find a new place. Why can’t they stay with his dad? Amanda tries to sweetly explain the situation, but Dan interjects. Feeling bad for his son, he says they can stay with him until they find the right place.

Jack helps a mud-covered Martha to un-bog her car. She’s a sight to behold and Jack’s doing his best to hide his amusement. Finally, he manages to drive the car free but when he steps out of the car, Martha snatches her keys off him. As Jack walks back to his car, still grinning, Martha puts the key in the ignition but can’t get her car started. She can’t believe it. Martha grudgingly asks Jack for help again, but he gives her a taste of her own medicine and drives off!

Jack protests – it’s so obvious she likes him… Martha is outraged, but despite herself, a smile creeps on to her face.

Amanda thanks Dan again for having them stay. She really appreciates it (and it means the world to Ryan). The boys head off and we see her devious smile, very satisfied with herself… FLASH: to Amanda asks Dan if she can stay and Dan saying no… FLASH: to Amanda listening carefully to the details as Robbie and Tasha’s discuss the Beach House burglary. FLASH: to Amanda ties herself up in the apartment… FLASH: to Dan saying she can stay with him… Mission accomplished!
