Extended Summary

Nico notices his name on a notice Ailsa has put up earlier to support the proposal that Nico should not be locked away. He is curious what the text says as he can’t read anything except his name. Lynn says it’s an advertisement for his vegetables he sells from the farm, so as not to upset him.

Nico finds his bike destroyed and sees a man who said he will get locked away and then laughs. Nico cries over his bike and Alf sees Nico and talks to him.

Lance and Martin jeer at Fisher while he’s jogging at the beach! Alf stops at the beach and gives out to Fisher about Nico.

Steven tells Floss about Sally’s new imaginary friend, Mr Haggas. Floss discovers that it has been Sally who opened Neville’s bagpipe to let Mr Haggas out. Floss talks to Sally and explains that Neville only made Mr Haggas up and that he’s not real. Sally says she has seen him!

Ailsa asks Alf over for dinner.

Later on, at Ailsa’s place, when Alf turns up he asks Ailsa to marry him! She gets angry as Alf has said earlier that things were moving too fast for him in their relationship. Ailsa and Alf start having problems and they think about each other.

Ailsa is alone in her place as is Alf in his shop. He closes up his shop and turns up at her store and tells her that he loves her.
