Laura Vazquez's family emigrated to Australia from Argentina before she was born, and although she does share some characteristics with her character, Sarah, their upbringings are far from similar.
Laura was encouraged by her parents to excel, and as well as becoming an actress, she is also an accomplished singer and dancer. And as if that was not enough, she came first in a top-rated beauty contest in Australia.
