Played Gypsy Nash
Kimberley Cooper was eighteen when she took on the role of Gypsy. She has been acting and dancing for twelve years. She may look slight but you would not want to cross her as she is an accomplished kick-boxer.
Kimberley, incorporating the character of Gypsy Nash on the all time favourite TV soap Home and Away, finally ”hit” the age of 20 way back on April 24, 2000. She still has to wait to celebrate her all-important-21st birthday down there in Oz whilst she already would have been a perfect adult over here at the age of 19.
Kimberley aka Gypsy Nash first hit the world of Home and Away way back in 1997 when roller-blading into Travis Nash, her uncle, being accused of pervert nature by her soap-brother Tom Nash.
Kimberley's background fits somehow in this all-being-a-foster-kid atmosphere of Summer Bay hence she's got 2 older stepbrothers and one older stepsister.
Kimberley's path into the world of soapy bubbles wasn't quite foreseen hence she committed her life to the world of dance, studied ballet and even won several awards for jazz, tap and classical ballet. But the stairway to fame and fortune wasn't the dancing one but the acting one. Kimberley was offered the role of Gypsy Nash on a soap that started out when she was hardly old enough to follow it right from the start. Kimberley and her mum burst into tears when learning this gung-ho news. There have been rumours of Kimberley signing a contract, extending her stay on Home and Away by three years. |
